South Utah Valley Electric Service District (SESD) is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a Part-time Storekeeper position.  The chosen candidate will be responsible for tracking and organizing inventory, keeping warehousing facilities clean and organized, monitoring vehicles and equipment, and assisting in the maintenance of indoor and outdoor facilities.  The storekeeper reports to the Transmission & Distribution Superintendent.

 

REQUIRED Qualifications:

·          High School Diploma, GED, or proof of equivalent

·          Must be able to pass a drug and background check

·          Be able to lift more than 75 lbs. from floor to waist and from waist to overhead

·          Be able to carry more than 75 lbs. with both hands

·          Be able to push and pull more than 100 lbs.

·          Experienced in using a forklift and telescopic forklift

·          Comfortable using a computer

·          Experienced in using Microsoft Office programs (Access, Excel, Outlook, and Word)

·          Be a highly motivated individual with the ability to work productively alone and with others

·          Capable of performing work in a safe, timely, and efficient manner

·          Have good problem-solving abilities

 

PREFERRED (but not required) Qualifications:

·          Possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (Class “A”) with ability to meet all DOT requirements

·          Experienced in using mini-excavators, backhoes, and skid steers

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·          Order, receive, organize, and track inventory and equipment

·          Keep the warehouse, indoor and outdoor equipment clean and organized

·          Maintain physical and electronic inventory and equipment records

·          Track equipment maintenance

·          Prepare and monitor purchase orders

·          Prepare equipment and pull inventory for jobs

·          Assist with the maintenance of indoor and outdoor facilities

·          Other duties as assigned by the Transmission & Distribution Superintendent

·          Reports to the Transmission & Distribution Superintendent

 

WORK SCHEDULE:

Applicants will work 24 hours (3 days) per week generally on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.  Applicants will generally work 8 hours per day between 8:00 a.m.--4:30 p.m. with a half-hour unpaid lunch.  May be required to work some extra hours depending on company needs .
